Team Member, in partnership with Restaurant Manager and other Team Members will attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant.  Team members are the face of Roji Tea Lounge and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Restaurant Manager

The restaurant manager, in partnership with the Roji Tea Lounge Management Team manages and acts as a support system for all areas of the restaurant.  You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service.

To be successful, you will need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house.  The restaurant manager will need to oversee the regular dining area and the Tatami Room (tea room), check-in with customers and balance seating capacity.

Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you will hire team members, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with the health and safety restaurant regulations


Restaurant Manager’s Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and ensure the highest quality of production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.

  • Directly supervise the scheduling work of all employees of the restaurant.

  • Monitor purchasing, storage, preparation, cooking, handling, and serving of all teas and food to maintain quality and specification standards.

  • Provide staff training, monitoring, and coaching.

  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.

  • Promote the brand in the local community though word of mouth and restaurant social media.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Restaurant Manager Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus.

  • Servsafe Certified preferred.

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.

  • Proven customer services experience as a manager.

  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
